Pet Cremation

Losing a pet is losing a member of the family. At PetsToRemember, we care for your pet with the same dignity and respect you would give them yourself. We have provided compassionate pet cremation across NJ, NY, and Florida since 2015, with service throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, and Florida. Every pet is cremated individually in a machine designated for them, never grouped to cut corners. Below you will find the cremation options we offer, how the process works, and how to reach us when you are ready.

Private Pet Cremation (True Private)

A true private pet cremation is when a pet is placed in a cremation machine by themselves with no other pets, no different than a human.

Many crematories will say a cremation is private but in fact use a separation method for a private cremation. This is done by placing multiple pets in a machine in different pans and only running the machine once to reduce the costs.

This is NOT done at PetsToRemember. We cremate every pet by themselves in a machine designated for them.

Group Pet Cremation (No Ashes Returned)

This cremation is performed for families who wish not to receive their pets ashes back. Multiple pets are placed inside a cremation machine and when the cremation is finished the ashes are scattered on cemetery property.

    Witness Cremation

This service is designed for families who wish to say goodbye in person. You may choose to view your pet and be present as they are gently placed into the cremation chamber, and remain on-site until the cremation is complete and the ashes are returned to you.

    What to Expect

Making arrangements during a loss is never easy, so we keep the process simple and walk with you through every step.

When you reach out, we help you choose the option that is right for your family, whether that is a true private cremation, a group cremation, or a witness cremation. We arrange to bring your pet into our care, complete the cremation with the dignity it deserves, and, for private cremations, return your pet’s ashes to you. We are happy to answer any question along the way, no matter how small.

If your pet has just passed and you are not sure what to do next, our Recent Passing page walks you through the immediate steps.

    Pick Up and Transport

We understand that bringing your pet to us yourself can feel like too much in a moment of grief. Pickup is available throughout our service area, so you can stay home with your family while we gently bring your pet into our care. If you would prefer to bring your pet to us in person, you are always welcome to do so. Call us at 1-844-REMEMBER and we will make the arrangements that feel right for you.

Which Option is Right for Your Family?

Every family grieves differently, and there is no wrong choice. A true private cremation is for families who wish to receive their pet’s ashes back and want the certainty that the ashes are their pet’s alone. A group cremation is a respectful and more affordable option for families who do not wish to receive ashes. A witness cremation is for those who want to be present to say goodbye. If you would like to understand the differences in more detail, our guide on private vs. communal pet cremation explains each option and what to expect.

    Compassionate Care Since 2015

Families across the region trust us with their pets because we treat every pet as if they were our own. We never use a separation method and call it private. Each pet is cremated individually, with care and respect, by people who understand what your pet meant to you. From the first call to the return of your pet’s ashes, our goal is to make a difficult time a little easier to carry.

    Pricing and Financing

Cost should never stand in the way of giving your pet a dignified goodbye.
